Grants, Awards and Scholarships from the General Fund

Over the past decade, the Greater Edwardsville Area Community Foundation has been continually humbled by the incredible generosity of donors. The following is a snapshot of that generosity, and highlights the specific Funds that were created over the years. It is nearly impossible to measure the impact one gift can have. Participation is easy, and such gifts can be provided in a variety of ways to reach charitable goals.

Southwestern Illinois Special Olympics, Area 12, for swim competition – $1,100
Worden Parks and Recreation, for Memorial for those who served in the Armed Forces – $5,000
Habitat for Humanity, for materials to build a house for a local family – $2,000
Junior Service Club of Edwardsville/Glen Carbon, for Boundless Playground Project – $1,000
National Alliance for Mental Health Southwestern Chapter, for purchasing a copier – $2,000
Madison County Humane Society for erosion control – $5,000.00
P.A.C.T. (Police and Children Together) for six children to attend camp – $300.00
Anderson Hospital for improvement and expansion of Intensive Care Unit – $5,000.00
Crisis Food Center for general assistance – $50.00
Edwardsville Arts Center for equipment and programming – $5,000.00
Friends of Stephenson House for educational summer programs – $3,500.00
